Job Description / Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct lighting crew on load ins / load outs for events
• Implementation and execution of the lighting design on job sites
• Properly deploy and implement lighting systems, rigging and control
• Knowledge in lighting system networking (MA net, ACN, Artnet)
• Program and Operate the lighting console (grand ma / Chamsys / ETC)
• Act as safety officer on site for Orange Frog
• Have a working knowledge of rigging infrastructure
• Have a working knowledge of theatrical lighting systems
• Have knowledge of moving light troubleshooting on site
• Flexible schedule
• Experience driving non air brake trucks (1 Ton, 3 Ton , 5 Ton)
• On site client management

Qualifications / Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a lighting technician or crew chief in the event or theatre industry
• Crew management and team management experience
• Flexibility, autonomy, team player
• Ability to handle contingency and work well under pressure
• Fluent in spoken and written English is essential
• Knowledge of WYSIWYG is an asset
• Experience with maintenance and repair of both conventional lights and moving lights is an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Other duties may include: operating a fork lift, truck driving and rigging of points

Company Benefits: Health Insurance, Vacation, Re-location allowance.

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 based on experience and qualifications
