Ian has been involved in system design, commissioning, and measurement using dual channel FFT analyzers since the late ‘90s. He has been a certified Smaart instructor since 2016.

The 3-day Smaart Operator: Fundamentals & Advanced class is a combination of the Fundamentals and Advanced curriculums. The first two days will cover the fundamentals of setting up and configuring a Smaart measurement rig and using Smaart v9 to make basic RTA, Spectrograph, and Transfer Function measurements.

The 1-day Smaart Operator: Advanced class picks up where Smaart Operator: Fundamentals leaves off, taking a deeper dive into various topics which extend beyond the Fundamentals course curriculum. Attendees can expect an immersive hands-on experience using Smaart v9 through various exercises designed to emulate real-world alignment and optimization tasks.
