This presentation will provide an overview of audio description, and encourage its incorporation into regular accessibility practices. In particular, this workshop will focus on the variety of ways audio description is offered, both from a technical and production standpoint. Suitable for everyone, this session will offer important insights to better host Blind and Partially Sighted patrons at venues and shows.

• Understand how audio description can be set up and utilized for making theatre productions accessible to blind or partially sighted audience members.
• Learn how to incorporate audio description into the planning of a production.

Rebecca Singh has been audio describing film, television, live performance, and visual art since 2011. Her extensive experience includes producing, writing, and voicing descriptions on all genres of artwork shows and events from around the world including art films, large scale art installations, theatre, musicals, dance and opera.
