Annual Report 2010-11
The Canada Council for the Arts provided funding last year through grants and payments to more than 21,000 artists and arts organizations in over 2,000 communities, enriching the lives of Canadians in all parts of the country. Strengthening Connections 2011-16: Corporate Plan
A summary of the Corporate Plan for 2011-16 is also available on Council's web site and outlines the Council's strategies to address the five priorities and three themes that will guide its work for the next five years. During a time of economic challenge, Council continues to be a critical investor in the creative life of the nation.
Annual Public Meeting 2011
An update on these and other topics will be presented at the Council's Annual Public Meeting in Calgary on October 18 at 4 p.m. at Theatre Junction Grand. Joseph L. Rotman (Chair), Simon Brault (Vice-Chair), Robert Sirman (Director/CEO), the Board and senior staff will review the Canada Council's activities and will be available to answer questions.
