Job Description / Duties

Manager Position
The Eastern Labrador Arts Alliance invites applications for the position of Manager for the Lawrence O'Brien Arts Centre, the performing arts centre for Eastern Labrador. The successful applicant will be answerable to a Board of Directors and will receive direction from an advisory committee. Tasks:
 Promoting the place of the arts in the community, schools, and region
 Maintaining and managing the physical, financial and human resources of the facility
 Booking, Promoting, Supervising, and Setting Up activities taking place within the facility
 Understanding and knowledgeable of the history and mission of the ELAA

Qualifications / Required Skills

Skills required:
 Long-term experience in arts administration, normally acquired through a combination of formal training and work experience
 Administrative skills including human resources and financial management, public relations, marketing, staff coordination
 Ability to identify and apply for funding for arts activities
 Ability to work closely with children and youth

Additional Information

Closing date: Anticipated starting date: October 28, 2016 November 1 , 2016

Salary: Salary: Starting salary is $48,000 or $50,000 (based on a 35-hour work week)commensurate with education and experience, with a possible increase after 2 years to a maximum of $56,000. Time off in lieu of overtime (according to provincial guidelines) during periods when theatre is dark.
