CITT members will be invited to vote for 4 directors at large positions. The vote will start on Sunday May 16, 2010 and will end on June 15. The ballot will be sent out electronically to all members in good standing. If you have not renewed your membership, you will not be able to vote. All Organizational, Sustaining, and Contributing members have the right to designate one individual with the power to vote on behalf of the member. Please notify CITT's National Office by May 14

CANDIDATES FOR DIRECTORS AT LARGE ELECTIONS
Jacquie Dawson – Powell River BC
Jacquie has 30 years of nationwide experience in stage and production management. She has organized and managed everything from opera to outdoor festival events in 6 out of 10 provinces, Asia and across the United States. Jacquie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and is experiencing lifelong learning in arts management. Production and Assistant General Manager at the Banff Centre, she was very active with the CITT Alberta Section Board. Highlights of this involvement include a pivotal role in organizing a national conference in Banff, presenter for several Alberta section workshops and seminars and as the co-coordinator of the SMARTS conference in Edmonton (a joint effort of CAEA and CITT). Currently, she is the Theatre and Facilities Manager at the new 400-seat Max Cameron Theatre in Powell River, BC, a position she took on in 2007. Jacquie has served as director at large on the CITT board of director since 2008, and sits on the CITT 20th Anniversary Committee.
Viviane Dohle – Montréal QC
Viviane Dohle is a theatre and live events technical director. A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, and a member of IATSE Local 680, she has most recently worked as Assistant Technical Director at Neptune Theatre, Technical Director for Centaur Theatre and Technical Director (Stage) for Theatre Calgary. Viviane participated on the Expert Working Group to determine the proficiency levels of competencies for stagehands, as well as attended the recent Roundtable on Proficiency Levels for Stage Technicians and Entertainment Riggers held in Ottawa. In her spare time, Viviane curls out of the Royal Montreal Curling Club and rides her bike down the mountain. If elected, she hopes to aid in promoting the Chart of Competencies for Stage Technicians and Entertainment Riggers as a useful tool for formal and continuous training, as well as participate in the organization of CITT’s annual conference, with a particular focus on the professional development opportunities available at the conference.
Jeff Fevens – Fredericton NB
Jeff is Technical Director of the Fredericton Playhouse in New Brunswick and has been involved with CITT since 1998. He has served as director at large on the CITT board of director since 2008. He is very much involved with the Atlantic Region section, and is currently a member of the 2010 Halifax Conference Committee.
Bob Johnston – Toronto ON
Bob started his career in the entertainment industry in 1976 in the back shop of Canadian Staging Projects. During that time, Bob spent time attending Ryerson Polytechnic Institute in the Civil Engineering program. After completion of the program, he joined CSP full time, and expanded his knowledge in the technical side of the stage lighting business. In 1982, Bob switched his focus to the motion picture and television business and joined William F. White Limited. From 1982 through 1996, Bob developed his skills in the area of relationship building and was part of a group that expanded the sales and marketing operations nationwide. It was during that time that Bob developed key contacts in the industry and was offered an opportunity to move to Southern California in early 1996. Bob joined the Matthews Studio Group in Burbank and worked in the US market until he joined Christie Lites in July 2001. Over this time period, Bob gained experience in the operations side of the industry and brings this knowledge to Christie Lites. Elected to the board in 2005, Bob has served as President of CITT from 2006 to 2009 and is currently Past-President.
John McArthur – Toronto ON
John McArthur started his career as a Production Assistant at The Ontario Place Forum, Toronto, where he then became Assistant Stage Manager. He later moved on to be Production Director at CJCH (CHUM Radio) in Halifax, CKFM in Toronto and CHUM AM & FM in Toronto, where he won the prestigious CLIO Award. John later accepted a position with William F. White Ltd., in Toronto, to develop audio product sales in that market. Currently, McArthur is the Principal in PAG Canada, Ltd., a national manufacturer representation and distribution firm. John has served as Vice-President of CITT since 2006.

PRESIDENT ELECT
Norberts J. Munčs – Montréal QC
Norberts J. Munčs, presently Director of Performance Production at Concordia University Faculty of Fine Arts, has worked and continues to work as an Educator, Production Manager, Technical Director, Tour Manager and Lighting Designer. Most recently, he was Technical and Operations Manager at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts, where he was also Director of the Theatre Production Education Program. In his final year of 20 years as Director of the Technical Production Program at the National Theatre School of Canada, Norberts was recipient of the Education Achievement Award presented to him by the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology/Institut canadien des technologies scénographiques (CITT/ICTS) in recognition of his longstanding career achievements as an educator. During his tenure at the National Theatre School of Canada, he was responsible for the significant development and redesign of the Technical Production curriculum, including its enhancement from a two to a three-year program as well as the implementation of a lighting specialization program. He developed a national educational internships and partnerships which continue to serve as models throughout the country and abroad. Norberts continues to be an active member of numerous industry and education-related committees, including the Theatre Technician Steering Committee, and the Comité aviseur pour l’Étude des besoins de formation en production (Advisory Committee for the Study on Production Training Needs). Norberts is a longstanding member of the Associated Designers of Canada (ADC) and of l’Association des professionels des arts de la scène du Québec (APASQ). As of 2004, he has held the position of President of the Centre québécois de l’Institut canadien des technologies scénographiques (CQICTS) and has been the Section’s representative to the Board since 2008.
VICE-PRESIDENT
Gerry van Hezewyk – Edmonton AB
Gerry’s twenty year management career in the performing arts has focused on the creation of original stage productions, as well as the start-up and running of a number of presenting venues. His technical direction experience with producing/touring organizations includes: Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, The Manitoba Theatre Centre, The National Arts Centre, Livent and Cirque du Soleil. He was involved with the re-opening of both Calgary and Kingston’s Grand Theatres after each went through extensive multi-million dollar renovations. As Production Director, he played a central role in the development and opening of The Esplanade - Singapore’s national performing arts centre. He is a graduate of and former instructor for the National Theatre School of Canada's Technical Production Program. He recently joined the University of Alberta’s Department of Drama as Production Manager, where he is combining his interests in producing original theatrical works, the education of emerging theatre professionals, and performing arts facility operations. Gerry has served on the board as Director at Large since 2006.
