WARDROBE SUPERVISOR (BAND 8)
School of Fine Arts
Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland
(Permanent Position)

DUTIES
The successful applicant will report to the Technical Director and be responsible for maintaining and operating a professionally equipped costume shop for the Theatre Program in the School of Fine of Arts. Duties include the purchasing of materials; drafting of patterns; working with faculty to realize costuming; cutting, sewing and constructing costumes; maintaining and overseeing the program’s wardrobe bank. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to teach wardrobe across four years of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (theatre) program. Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable experience (3-5 years) in professional theatrical Costuming; graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Fine Arts; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of all craft areas of costume construction and design including pattern drafting, cutting, sewing, dyeing and painting as well as working with unconventional fabrics is required. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level would be an asset.

SALARY $48,338 - $67,781 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
