Job Description / Duties

Reporting to the Associate Company Manager and the Technical Director you will be required to:

- Coordinate the preventive maintenance and repair of both electronic and electrical systems in the Technical Department;
- Provide I.T support, customer service to the tour.

Functions:

- Provide the Technical Department with ongoing electronics support;
- With the department heads, ensure the safety of electronic systems at all times;
- Perform technical support for Point of Sale and ticketing with the SCX manager;
- Diagnose and solve all problems (hardware and software) related to the technological environment of the tour;
- Manage the tour network and equipment as well as its components (wired and wireless);
- Provide the SCX Department with set up and maintenance of tour equipment;
- Assist with setup and tear-down in TSD, SCX and Technical Show Departments as required;
- Autonomously conduct preventive maintenance and repairs of electronic and video/projection equipment;
- Archive and keep maintenance logs and, with the department heads, maintain all documentation pertaining to electronic elements;
- Liase with the I.T. department at IHQ to perform updates as required.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

- College diploma (or equivalent) in electronics (or equivalent work experience);
- Five to eight years' relevant experience in the entertainment industry;
- Computer training;
- Knowledge of the use of the following software:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012;
Active directory 2008;
- Microsoft Windows 7 and 10;
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications in a Windows environment (Microsoft Office 365, Skype for Business, One Drive,);
- Cisco / Meraki network equipment QNAP, NAS, VM;
- Technical knowledge of automation systems is an asset (PLC, AC motor control, slave systems, control loops, electrical systems);
- Good knowledge of the server environment and the management of its components (router, access point, switch, vlan, vpn, dhcp, dns);
- Technical knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems;
- Good general understanding of all technical aspects of a show considered an asset;
- Personnel management experience an asset;
- Experience with pyrotechnic equipment an asset;
- Flexible, autonomous and team-spirited;
- Good communication skills and customer service attitude
- Ability to handle contingencies and work well under pressure;
- Ability to work high above the ground (climbing abilities an asset);
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, fluency in French is an asset;
- Knowledge of Apple hardware/software is an asset;

Available to tour full time and to work in foreign countries.
