Stagehand
The Grove Theatre in Fenelon Falls is looking to hire a Stagehand starting immediately!
We are looking for someone eager to work and interested in being a part of the team. This job requires the team member to be a part of load-in and load-out of all of our Mainstage Productions and Guest Artists Events.
This is a great position for someone looking for extra work hours or interested in learning more about the theatre industry.
This position requires manual labour, please do not apply if you are not interested in highly physical work.
Fee: $16.55 per hour
Hours may vary but a standard day would be 5pm-7:30pm & 9:30pm-12am with some day-time hours throughout the contract. A calendar will be provided to those that apply.
Responsibilities:
- 2.5 hr load in, 2.5 hr load out
- Moving all audio equipment/instruments, set pieces and set dressing to and from stage each day
- On stage placement/installation of audio equipment/instruments/set pieces/set dressing based on a supplied stage plot
- Post-show organization of equipment/set pieces/set dressing into storage
Qualifications / Required Skills
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- On time and ready to work at the top of each call
- Takes direction well
- Has reliable transportation to the venue and curling club in Fenelon Falls
- An open mind and positive attitude
- Some audio knowledge is an asset
Salary: 16.55 per hour
