Job Description / Duties

Canada’s Ballet Jörgen is seeking a Stage Manager for its 2020 - 2021 Touring Season for their theatrical events throughout the season with tours in Western Canada, Eastern Canada, Ontario and in the States.
The Stage Manager maintains communications with performers and all members of the production team.
Compiles and maintains blocking and cue and running crew notes.
Prop management, storage and minor prop repairs.
Completes and distribute rehearsal and performance reports including set placement and props and venue information.
Attends production and crew meetings.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Completion of an accredited post-secondary program in technical theatre specializing in Stage Management or the equivalent combination (5 years or more) of stage management experience and education.
Must have theatrical and/or dance stage management experience.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
A strong team player, who also possesses the ability to work under their own initiative.
A high degree of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work well under pressure.
Working knowledge of current safety standards.
A valid driver’s license is essential. Duties will include driving production vehicles.
Must have a valid passport.
Touring experience would be an asset.
Bilingual (French & English) both written and spoken would be an asset.

Position is full time from late August 2020 to early June 2021.

Canada’s Ballet Jörgen will be touring "Anne of Green Gables" throughout Ontario, eastern Canada and the States, “Nutcracker” throughout Ontario and “Romeo and Juliet” in western Canada and Quebec as well as other events in around the Toronto area.

Salary: $1100 to $1150. Wage in accordance to Canadian Actors Equity Association DOT policy.
