Job Description / Duties

- Create detailed floor plans and renderings
- Create & update job orders including last minute changes/additions
- Coordinate and notify account managers with job updates
- Consistent and up-to-date communication with clients
- Attend site and client meetings
- Create production schedules to coordinate crew, transportation, and vendors
- Assist in ensuring clients have signed off on terms and conditions for each job, collect deposit and ensure their account is in good standing and up-to-date
- Coordinate logistics, power, rigging with venue or appropriate supplier
- Coordinate production meeting and event details with clients and or lead technicians
- Arrange and manage technical pre-production and/or demo with clients,
- Arrange for jobs to have the correct inventory to achieve the appropriate outcome for the event
- Adjust jobs based on inventory availability and or communicate back-orders
- Specify and assist with scheduling and coordinating of labour and technicians
- Notify scheduling department of new confirmed orders
- Ensure all jobs are ready in advance before job information is sent to the warehouse
- Communicate to the warehouse when jobs are ready to be prepped and pulled
- Coordinates with clients to manage their expectations
- Collaborates with account managers and provides feedback on events to make improvements and recommendations for next event
- Produce, supervise, “call” events
- Assist crew for load in/out, setups, and dismantles
- Act as an AV Technician to operator events, drive trucks as needed
- Attend weekly operations meeting

Qualifications / Required Skills

- Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar management role in the live events industry
- Minimum two (2) years experience as an AV technician in the live events industry
- Minimum two (2) years experience in either AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Wysiwyg
- Thorough technical knowledge of the AV and event industry
- Must be self-motivated and possess superior leadership, organizational, time management skills
- Must work well under pressure, and manage deadlines
- Must be able to work independently while also being a part of a team
- Resilient, resourceful, and detail oriented
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent ability to interact and communicate in a positive manner with a diverse clientele; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to formulate creative ideas, analyze, evaluate and negotiate details leading to a successful event
- Experience with leading crews as a manager
- Experience with supervising union crews is an asset
- Must have working knowledge of current health and safety standards
- Excellent computer skills and software knowledge
- Experience with purchase orders and financial reporting is an asset
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence is an asset
- Ability and experience to drive trucks up to 26’ is an asset
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
