Job Description / Duties

We are looking for a senior account to handle the revenue processing for the organization and to oversee the general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Revenue Entry for Tickets sales and Donations to Theatre Calgary
•Semi-monthly administration payroll, production and distribution of T4’s, T4A’s and T4A-NR’s annually.
•Monthly General Ledger accounts reconciliations
•Assist with preparation of Month End Financial Statements
•Audit Preparation as Required
•GST reconcilliations and Quarterly Returns
•Annual T3010 Charity Reporting
•Periodic reporting on the usage of Grant Revenue
•AGLC annual reporting and General Ledger entries relating to these funds
•Assist with Annual budget and Quarterly Forecasting
•Full Cycle Accounting and General Journal Entries.
•Valuation and recording of Liquor stock
•Maintenance of Capital Asset Register and calculation of Depreciation.
•Other duties as specified by the Director of Finance and Administration.

Qualifications / Required Skills

•Bachelor's Degree in a related field, preference given to those working towards a CPA designation.
•Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
•Prior equivalent General Ledger experience preferably in the not for profit industry.
•High level of competence with Microsoft Office Suite.
•Experience working with Xero and Tessitura an asset.
•Ability to work on your own initiative and challenge existing processes to promote efficiency.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 Annual Salary
