Job Description
Producing shop drawings from client concept drawings and models. There are approx. 45 different pieces to be drawn. The basic materials are steel/wood framing with cladding of fiberglass or sheet steel/aluminium, plywood. Shop drawings will include details of joints and welds, hardware specifications for mechanical attachments and installation, material callouts and bill of materials. All drawings will be done in metric with imperial conversions. All welding information on drawings to conform with CWB standards.

Client drawings will be engineered approved at concept level and will be re-evaluated after shop drawings are produced.

Work will be based out of our office and normal working hours will be 7-3:15 Mon- Fri.
If applicant has their own computer and software (ACAD, Solidworks) we can work out a rental fee or we can provide computer and software.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Applicant should be a self starter with good communication skills and willing to be a team player. Applicant will report to Project Manager and have significant interaction with department heads once fabrication begins. There will also be some client meetings to attend.
Applicant should have recognized formal education in the design field and 3-5 years work as a intermediate drafts person. Some interior design training or experience would be an asset.

Salary: Wage: Hourly rate 25.41- 28.88 plus 6% vacation pay.
