Job Description / Duties

We are seeking a Saturday Sales Associate. This position would suit a student who wants a permanent, part-time job.

Our retail and rental activities require us to maintain sales counter hours on Saturdays from 10AM - 2PM
Hours of work would be 9:30AM to 2:30PM – Occasionally a little later.

Our first Saturday person was with us for over three years. Our most recent Saturday person did this for four years, and then worked with us full time.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for opening/closing of the shop.
• Deliver excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Dealing with cash and debit & credit card transactions
• Answering customer inquiries in person and by phone.
• Walk-in sales and rentals
• Counter sales of consumables, fireworks, pyrotechnics etc.
• Provide information and demonstrate equipment to clients.
• Work with clients to determine their needs and then recommend the best products. Will train you!
• Send out and receive rentals.
• Restock shelves and maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the store.
• End of day report
• Balancing cash float

Additional Information

We are seeking a happy, motivated, team player – someone who is comfortable in their own skin, a good communicator, who enjoys interactions with professionals and the public, and has an interest in the behind-the-scene magic of special effects!

Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of theatre production, is neat, organized and reliable, has a proactive attitude and the ability to absorb and retain technical information. Ideally you want to find a place to put down roots, learn and grow.

Salary: $20/hr

As well as full production services and custom fabrication, we rent and sell all manner of special effects hardware... from fog machines, to confetti cannons to indoor snow machines, and we sell the consumables to support them.
