Job Description / Duties

The Position: Props Builder / Shopper
This is a one season temporary positon. Starting in September and ending in March or April 2016. There is flexibility if someone is only available for a portion of these dates. Start Date: Fall 2015

Duties & Responsibilities
• Build and fabricate props;
• Participate in Load-ins and Load-outs, Set Dressing, packing etc.
• Research and develop concept and collaborate with supervisor, designers and coworkers to come up with solutions.
• Maintain artistic integrity and quality of work as required by Royal MTC
• Maintain and keep petty cash reports up to date
• Take designers out on Shopping trips
• Overtime and weekends as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications
• 1 years professional experiences in the field of theatrical props
• Carpentry skills and experience working with hand and power tools
• Painting skills as appropriate for props
• Must be self-motivated and able to multitask
• Able to work in fast paced and ever changing environment
• Valid Driver’s license is a must.
• Mileage is paid for personal vehicle use
• Vector works or CAD experience an asset but not required
