Category: ProductionDriftwood Theatre Group is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to fill the position of Production Manager & Technical Director for its upcoming summer season.
The individual in this position serves as both the Production Manager and Technical Director for Driftwood Theatre's annual Bard's Bus Tour - an outdoor, summer theatre tour that visits over 20 communities in Southern Ontario.
The Production Manager and Technical Director is responsible for coordinating all production resources in an efficient, safe and effective manner within budgetary and schedule parameters, and will travel with the tour to provide hands-on support and supervision for the technical aspects of the production. The Production Manager and Technical Director reports to the General Manager and manages all crew members.
The successful candidate will: have at least three years of professional experience in technical theatre, production or stage management; possess a high degree of professionalism and time management skills; a full class G driver’s license with experience driving 16’ cube trucks (or equivalent); and have an ability to communicate effectively and work productively with artists and theatrical staff. Experience in LED lighting mixing/control, live wireless microphone mixing and/or scenic carpentry an asset.
Contract dates: May 18 – August 23, 2015.
