Job Board/Babillard d'emplois > Production Manager - The STAGE Lab at the University of Chicago
This is a Permanent, Full-time position.
Category: ProductionThe STAGE Lab is seeking a Production Manager. STAGE – Scientists, Technologists and Artists Generating Exploration – is a new laboratory for creating and developing multimedia theatre pieces inspired by science and technology. STAGE (http://stage.ime.uchicago.edu/) is part of the new Institute for Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago.
This is a distinctive, hybrid position that combines technical and production skill sets. Technical expertise and interest in a range of multimedia equipment are required. Enthusiasm for working in an iterative and open-ended creative environment is essential – STAGE does not follow a standard theatrical process, structure or seasonal schedule. The PM oversees the entire production process for all STAGE projects, and maintains the theatre’s physical and organizational infrastructure. The position offers opportunities to contribute creatively, with potential future opportunities to take on the role (at least in part) of theatrical producer. The PM will work closely alongside the Director of STAGE in multiple capacities, and the post requires someone exceedingly flexible, collaborative, highly motivated, organized and responsible.
