Job Description / Duties

Job Description:

The Operations Manager is involved with all aspects of daily operations. She/he is responsible for all administrative functions. The primary areas of work will be in general administration, member services and conference coordination support. The Operations Manager reports to the Executive Director.

Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Office management of organizational, computer and equipment systems; providing administrative support to other staff members; assisting with development of projects and other initiatives; managing the production of All Access newsletter and other print and Web materials; managing and updating information systems including Web site & database; servicing members and coordination support for the annual conference. Support to bookkeeper. Planning of meetings throughout the year, including management of all logistics.

Conference responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Processing registrations; coordination of marketing materials; providing communication and support for the delegates, support to the conference manager and production manager, managing the conference website.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Skill Requirements:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented; highly organized; has excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French; takes initiative; provides a high level of service, works independently but is a team player; is comfortable supporting others; has a minimum of two years experience in the areas outlined above.

Applicants should possess the following skills:

• Bilingual in French & English
• Highly proficient computer skills;
• Ability to multi-task;
• Possess financial management skills
• Experience in meeting / event management;
• Service-oriented;
• Superior time management skills.

Some limited travel may be required. Working experience in the cultural industries is an asset.
