Job Description / Duties

We are seeking experienced candidate for the position of Manager, Ticketing Services. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Manager of Ticketing Services is responsible for all areas of ticket sales with special attention to sales targets, customer service, and reporting. This is a full time mid-level management position training part time and casual ticketing representatives for the season to meet the goals of the organization.

Key responsibilities:

Ticket Sales and Reporting

- Working closely with Marketing, refine and execute sales strategies to achieve season KPI’s
-Performance reporting, subscription reporting and YOY analysis
-Pricing analysis and scaling recommendations
-Pulling targeted customer lists for email campaigns
-Work with finance department to ensure financial reporting is accurate
-Ad-hoc reporting as requested

Database management

-Primary administrator of the Ballet ticket database
-Creation of single and subscription events, season rollover/renewals, price codes, invoice and ticket templates
-Liaise with Ticketmaster to create and execute promo codes, offers, and dynamic price changes
-Work with external consultants as needed on customizations, troubleshooting and training

Manage Patron Services team members

-Provide the highest standards of customer service to Alberta Ballet patrons and team members via all possible channels, including e-mail, telephone, and in-person.
-Manage customer complaints
-Support Front of House during performances to ensure seamless delivery between box office and front of house staff; trouble-shooting front of house in regards to ticketing
-Provide relevant box office information to guest companies as required
-Assist Director of Sales with hiring and training casual ticketing and patron representatives for the season
-Lead, manage, and monitor the performance of direct reports; set objectives and provide feedback regularly and through performance evaluations
-Schedule and supervise patron and ticketing representatives
-Manage departmental expenses and invoices
-Approve employee timesheet and expense submissions
-Create and maintain internal training manuals and processes

Qualifications / Required Skills

Key Competencies and Qualifications:

- Management experience in a sales/customer service focused environment
-Previous experience within arts and theatre would be an asset.
-Experience and knowledge of Archtics/Ticketmaster is required
-Experience with Blackbaud software would be an asset.
-Minimum grade 12 education and 3+ years’ experience in sales role
-Post-secondary education is an asset
-Proven ability to successfully address challenge and change
-Experience in customer service, excellent communicator both verbal and written, conflict resolution, and customer fulfillment
-Excellent computer skills, including: database management, Excel, and Word
-Ability to verbally assist patrons on navigating Alberta Ballet website for ticket sales
-Team player approach
-Must successfully pass a police backgrounds check as a condition of employment.

Additional Information

Working Conditions / physical requirements:

-Office environment; Due to frequent computer usage, there may be repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.
-40-hour work week Monday through Friday.
-Able to work weekends and evenings during performances and conferences
-Travel may be required
