Qualifications / Required Skills

SKILLS:
• relevant post-secondary training and/or professional experience as a Lighting Technician
• opportunity exists for In-House Lighting Design – please indicate experience if applicable
• experience in programming and operation of ETC Element 2 lighting console is an asset
• experience with intelligent lighting fixtures is an asset
• experience with programming and operation ETC SmartFade lighting console is an asset
• experience with various lighting software – please indicate experience if applicable
• good paperwork skills
• ability to work independently

OTHER SKILLS:
• experience in repertory theatre is an asset
• capable of physical demands of show changeovers – lx/sound plus set changeovers
• experience in other technical disciplines is an asset – please indicate
• Newfoundland & Labrador certification in Fall Protection and Safe Operation of Elevated Work Platforms (Aerial Lift) is an asset – other provinces an asset but will need to be NL certified if hired (organized by theatre)
• valid first aid/CPR experience is an asset
• a valid driver’s license is an asset
