Job Description / Duties

Responsiblities include: adaption of existing lighting plots and paperwork in each venue for each ballet, calling of focus and cueing of show during spacing rehearsals, general lighting maintenance and assisting the BJC crew and touring crew as necessary.
Coordinating with each venues Head Electrician or Technical Director for lighting information is also required.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Theatrical dance lighting design experience in a variety of venues is requited. Touring experience would be an asset.
Knowledge of the Strand Palette would be an asset. BJC tours with a Strand Palette lap top version which is used for each show.
A valid driver's license is essential. Duties will also include driving production vehicles including cube vans.

Additional Information

The position is full time from early September until late April.
Touring will include a western tour, an eastern tour as well as performances in Ontario and the Toronto area. A show in the States is possible.
