Job Description / Duties

The Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company, Vancouver’s premiere regional theatre, is looking for a Head of Wardrobe for its 2011/12 season. (For more on the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company and the 2011-2012 season, please see vancouverplayhouse.com)

Please note the 2011/12 season is characterized by building only LaCage Aux Folles and Gunmetal Blues, and receiving several co-productions. A full season of mostly building productions is being planned for the 2012/13 season in a new space.

The successful candidate will have experience leading a wardrobe department and will begin early October 2011. The Head of Wardrobe reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for running the wardrobe department, managing its staff, monitoring and adhering to wardrobe budgets, and working with contracted designers to realize the production as imagined by the creative team within the parameters of the producing theatre(s).
