Job Description / Duties

The NAC is open to either hiring on a permanent full-time basis or for a two year term.

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is an executive leadership position at the NAC – the CTO has overarching responsibility for enabling the NAC to leverage technology and information systems to give maximum benefit to the organization.

The CTO has a mandate to drive technological innovation at the NAC, leveraging contemporary technologies and delivery models, whilst maintaining a stable, robust and reliable IT environment underpinning core NAC processes. The CTO is accountable for developing, maintaining and delivering an information technology strategy and portfolio of initiatives aligned to the NAC’s overall strategic direction and objectives.

Qualifications / Required Skills

- A degree (or equivalent) in technology, IT, computing, finance, business or a related field and a minimum of 15 years of experience in a technology or business related field, including at least 10 years in a senior leadership position;
- Experience in managing a significant budget in a leadership role;
- Excellent communication skills – particularly in interacting with senior executives;
Bilingual in both official languages (english and french) would be an asset.

Proven track record in :
-working with both cloud and ‘on premise’ IT infrastructure and service provision,
-developing and delivering an information technology strategy,
-supervising and shaping a project management team.

The NAC needs to embark upon a program of information system modernization across HR/payroll and finance functions, supported by the CTO. The NAC is looking to the CTO to build key foundational capabilities which support system implementation, vendor management and IT project management.
