Job Description / Duties
The Shaw Festival is seeking applications for a full time Assistant Production Administrator, reporting to the Production Director.
Responsibilities include:
• Assists with departmental administration including the ‘Weekly’ and crew scheduling; timesheet processing; Visa and petty cash submissions; maintain departmental employee status and data base; assist with labour and material budget reporting; publishing Health and Safety committee minutes
• Builds positive personnel relationships while maintaining professional discretion.
• Understanding and adhering to company policies
• Develops improved methods to support Shaw Festival production
Qualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications include:
• Good written and oral communication skills; works well as part of a team; a positive attitude and a sense of humour also helps.
• Proven time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and WHMIS compliance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong potential to expand digital knowledge
• Minimum G class driver’s license with a clean driving record (for occasional use of company vehicles).
• A post-secondary education in a technical theatre program or equivalent would be considered an asset
Additional Information
Please note: All newly hired employees must provide proof of Full Vaccination status including at least one booster and/or a recent (since Oct.2023) vaccination prior to their to their first day of work.
Salary: $38,000 - $43,000. per anum
