This is a Temporary, Part-time position.
Category: EducationThe program requires part-time instructors to teach the following courses starting this September:
Wardrobe 1: A mandatory course for first-year students taught in the Fall Semester (September-December). This is an introduction to basic wardrobe skills including fabrics, hand and machine sewing, and wardrobe maintenance. This course is taught to two sections of students for a total of 4 hours per week.
Wardrobe 2: An elective course for second-year students taught in the Fall Semester (September-December). This course develops more advanced wardrobe skills, including fittings, alterations and garment construction. Students will also learn more about professional practices and careers in the field. This course is taught to two sections of students for a total of 4 hours per week.
Wardrobe Supervisor: To be engaged for the Winter Semester (January through early April) on a part-time basis to work with student crews and professional designers on a number of projects. This person will likely be the instructors for one of the above courses.
Considerable professional experience in wardrobe construction and maintenance. Previous teaching experience would be helpful.

The Theatre Production Program at Humber College trains students to work in a variety of fields in the professional theatre and related areas of the performing arts and the entertainment industry. All instructors bring a considerable body of professional experience to the courses they teach.
