Bystander Intervention Training

Bystander Intervention Training examines the 5 D’s of becoming an Upstander.

Learn how to appropriately intervene and de-escalate when you witness harassment and bullying in the workplace. Using these techniques, we can all make the workplace safer for everyone.

About the Instructors

Cindy Jennings

Cindy Jennings is an IATSE International Representative. Cindy joined the IATSE in 1992 and served as a Local Officer for 15 years before joining the International Office. Cindy is on the IATSE International Woman’s Committee Executive Committee and has a particular focus on Pay Equity, and gender based Violence  and Harassment. She was recognized for her work in Pay Equity as the recipient of the Inaugural IATSE Woman Leader Award from in 2013. Cindy was active in the development of the IATSE National Health benefits plan,.

Cindy has also been a member of Canadian Actors’ Equity since 1991, working actively as a Stage Manager in Live Theatre, Events, and was Stage Manager for the Hamilton Philharmonic for 6 years, and has completed a Certificate in Labour Studies from McMaster University.
