The Joy of Historical Research

Educational Session

In 'Nobody Looks Up: The History of Counterweight Rigging System:..." I postulated upon the tenuous links between the early development of stage rigging and a nautical heritage. New found evidence - in June of this year - sheds some light upon the early days. But as many questions as are answered by this evidence, a whole new set of questions arise. The joy of this research is truly falling down the metaphoric rabbit hole. This session will appeal not only to the Canadian members of the CITT/ICTS, but also to our international guests.

After attending this presentation participants will go away with a new appreciation of the genesis of our scenic technology.
