Rendez-vous 2023 Atelier pré-conférence - Scenic Painting
Août 15 - 16, 2023
Faux Paint and Texture Techniques on 3D Pulp Art Molded Wall Skins and 2D flat substrates
Tricks and Teaching Tips
Sponsored by Rosco & Pulp Art Surfaces, LLC
En anglais seulement, merci.
Jenny Knott and Wendy Waszut-Barrett will be teaching efficient techniques with a comprehensive explanation through demonstration for both 3D and 2D surfaces.
Workshop Description
Jenny and Wendy will be working with the dimensional PulpArt wall skins, experiencing faux paint techniques along with adding texture to customize it to design specifications. Alongside the 3D samples, they will be painting 2D samples to match. Often spaces require matching pieces but no room for dimension. Tips and tricks to “fool the eye” will be applied for a seamless transition.
After attending this presentation, attendees will be able to...
- Learn effective methods of approaching a project to break it down into steps.
- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate a rendering to make product choices.
- Practical experience with color mixing, texture application and tool manipulation for desired results.
- Evaluate the process for success as well as possible alternatives for the next time.
The class is hands on so bring your paint shirt, apron, gloves, and sense of humor as there are always interesting “happy accidents” that add to the experience. Make sure to wear something you don't mind getting paint on!
