With social distancing becoming the norm, and requirements for personal onsite becoming more and more strict, what opportunities are there to control your lighting system remotely? In this session we will go over the concepts and challenges for setting up a lighting console or architectural controller for remote operation and maintenance. This class will include real world examples of systems that are designed for this type of control, presented by the designers and operators. We will go through system layout as well as looking and some fun photos and videos of the end results.

Bio:

Erin Giblin is a Field Project Coordinator at ETC working in their Burbank, Calif. Office, specializing in advanced color rendition and networking. At ETC Giblin helps designers in theatre, TV, and film create the best lighting for their shows, most of which she can't mention because yes, the NDA's are that ironclad.

Brandon Gauthier is a lighting designer and programmer based out of New York City. He has worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines, at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills, California Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's Howl-o-Scream Events, Parade Lighting for SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, music festivals and doing system integration for projects worldwide.

JM Montecalvo - A native Rhode Islander, JM has lived and work on both coast of the US. Early work includes lighting design for Universal Studios Hollywood, NBC LA. In Singapore, Russia, and Taiwan he designed the Marvel Avenger S.T.A.T.I.O.N. attraction followed by the Chinese touring Transformers exhibit and Trolls: The Experience in New York City.
