SUBJECT: Gobo storage

MATERIAL: This is an inexpensive and a practical way to store and organize your gobos.

• One (or more) package of CD vinyl page holders (ex: GEMEX) and
• One 3-ring binder (size depends on your gobo collection, a 2’’ should do the trick)

OR

• One zippered CD/DVD album case

COST: Between $10 to $50 (before taxes)
All items are available in office supply stores.

INSTRUCTIONS: Slip your gobos in each pocket line of the disc album case, or of the page holders and store them in binder. Voilà! A nice album of gobos!

The plastic sleeves allow for labelling while seeing the gobo. You can classify them by patterns, effects, etc. You can also add a photo of a live effect rendering beside the gobo for a visual reference. The other great advantage of using the binder or storage case is that it can move around easier, without risk of the gobos falling out. You can also grab it for production and client meetings (an extra plus when you can show the proposed gobo effect).
