Below are standards regarding temporary stages:
ANSI E1.21-2006 – Temporary Ground-Supported Overhead Structures Used To Cover Stage Areas and Support Equipment in the Production of Outdoor Entertainment Events, which was developed by PLASA's Technical Standards Program, may be purchased through The ESTA Foundation.
ANSI E1.21 was being revised to include additional structures used to support scenery, lighting and sound equipment. The document was in public review until October 11, 2011. View more standard reviews here.
The Institution of Structural Engineers, based in the UK, has a similar publication called Temporary demountable structures. Guidance on procurement, design and use. (Third Edition) (2007) which may be found here.
