Adam Mitchell has recently returned as the Operations Director for Fringe Theatre Adventures in Edmonton, Alberta. He spent the previous five years as the City of St. Albert's Cultural Facilities Manager, where he operated the Arden Theatre, along with production managing the Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival, and the St. Albert Children's Theatre. Adam has an extensive background in theatre, festival and event production, with a particular interest in venue and environment creation and facility operations. He has been the Technical Director for the Edmonton and Winnipeg International Fringe Festivals, and spent a season as Technical Director at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg (2009-2010). Adam has a passion for creating unique audience experiences, and brings creative environmental solutions to the artistic process. A long time Edmonton resident and community member, Adam is a strong advocate of education, culture and community. Adam has had a longstanding history with CITT/ICTS. He has been an active board member of the Alberta section since joining in 2001 as a student of the University of Alberta's BFA Technical Theatre Program, and served the National Board as Member at Large or Provincial Section Representative (2003-2007), Secretary (2007-2008), and President (2009-2011). Adam is ecstatic to be given the opportunity to serve CITT members once again.
