IATSE Local 250, avec le généreux soutien du Fonds pour la résilience des travailleurs du secteur des spectacles sur scène du Canada, est heureux d'offrir ces cours sans frais.

When: February 28 at 9:00 am - 5:30 pm & March 1st, 2023 at 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Location: South Okanagan Events Center, 853 Eckhardt Ave W, Penticton, BC
This course is intended to train workers in the fundamentals of arena-style rigging. All workers will receive ground rigging (GR) training, and those who have elected for high rigger (HR) training will also receive practical training in walking the beam and pulling points. Training will be conducted at a venue they work in.
To finish off the session, both groups will work together to rig and de-rig points, allowing instructors to check off their required skills. Once workers have successfully demonstrated basic proficiency in these skills, they will be eligible for probationary status as Ground Rigger and/or High Rigger. This course is open to all performing arts workers and is being offered at no cost as part of the trainings the IATSE is providing through the Canada Performing Arts Workers Resilience Fund.
