You will be reporting to the Jubilee Auditoria General Manager and will provide leadership and direction to the technical and theatrical operations of the Northern and Southern Jubilee Auditoria of Alberta.

On behalf of the Ministry branch, you will coordinate with patrons, clients (including commercial promoters, community groups, Resident Companies and others), Alberta Jubilee Auditoria Society (AJAS), Alberta Infrastructure and their building management contractors, cross-ministry branches and other entertainment venues regarding all aspects of the Jubilee Auditoria’s operations.

This position requires specialized theatrical technical expertise to successfully coordinate processes and services in both venues.

Qualifications / Required Skills

University graduation in a field related to the position assignment, supplemented by four years related experience. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis. Experience in venue management is preferred.

Knowledge required for the position:

Must have in-depth knowledge of the entertainment industry trends in performing arts venue management, including significant knowledge of technical and theatrical equipment and practices.
A solid understanding of client and patron services, ticketing, security, risk management, human resource management, finance, strategic planning, building operations, automation and maintenance.
Training or willingness to acquire training in OH&S within the GOA environment.
Exceptional communication skills (verbal, non-verbal and written)

Assets:

Experience with effective interpersonal and management skills
Experience with project management
An understanding of RFP processes and contract management.
An understanding of entertainment unions and the ability to transpose the terms of the collective bargaining agreements into language suitable for clients.

Salary: $3062.51 to $4121.25 bi-weekly: ($79,931 - $107,564 / year)
