Theatre Aquarius is Hamilton’s only professional theatre company. Our mandate is to nurture, encourage and practice the art of theatre, and to make it accessible to the widest possible audience in the Hamilton-Wentworth Region. We work with five different unions and associations including the Canadian Actors Equity Association, IATSE stagehands union, Hamilton Musicians Guild, Playwrights Guild of Canada and the Associated Designers of Canada.
We produce 6 mainstage productions each season (September – June) in our 702 seat theatre. We present smaller productions in our 100 seat studio space, which also serves as our rehearsal hall. We also run a year round theatre school with classes for children and youth as well as summer camps.
