I don't know what you budget on this project is.

The problem with LED is that there are too many crappy quality light being produced. It has happened that I simply ran out of a venue, because the cheap light quality of the LED gave me instant headache. For a long time I simply refused to work with LED fixtures, because of that.

Last week at the En Coulisse show, several brands displayed their LED lights and just made me feel sick. In this category: American DJ, Chauvet, Elation and probably some others.
On the other hand, Vari*Lite had his own demo space to show their new VLX. I had a great talk with George Masek from VL Headquarters about this all and during the demo I was blown away by the quality of the light. Together with some other people I agreed that the light of the VLX made the human skin even look slightly better then the Tungsten light in the VL500 next to it. Also a colour test (two bouquets of fresh flowers in various colours) and the white test (cyclorama) came out great.

Like I said: I don't know your budget or what the current retail price on this fixture will be, but for quality of LED I don't think you could do a lot better at the moment.

One look at the price tag would do that to me. emoticon

Maybe rather just you, then the entire audience? emoticon

I'm sure there's something out there worth your money and not so bad. I just haven't found it yet. I'm just staying away from the OEM brands.

Heared some positive rumours about CLS, but I haven't seen it yet. And I'm wondering if it's available in Canada.
