Job Description / Duties

Key Responsibilities
• Install drapery track systems, rigging hardware, and theatrical drapery in accordance with project drawings and company standards
• Safely access overhead structures using ladders, scaffolding, or MEWPs (aerial lifts)
• Work at heights while using approved fall protection equipment
• Inspect and verify installation points and ensure proper anchoring and attachment
• Maintain and inspect installation tools and equipment
• Collaborate with internal team members, contractors, and clients onsite
• Read and interpret technical drawings and installation layouts
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges in real time
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
• Adhere to all Stagefab safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required:
• Minimum 3 years experience in carpentry, construction, rigging, or entertainment installation work
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools
• Comfortable working at heights
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Clear verbal communication skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Physically capable of lifting materials and performing installation duties
Assets:
• Experience installing theatrical rigging or drapery track
• Fall Protection certification
• Aerial Lift / MEWP certification
• First Aid certification
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics

Additional Information

• On-call, part-time
• Hours vary depending on project schedule
• Daytime, occasional early mornings, and possible evening/weekend work
• Travel to job sites required
Work is project-based and may fluctuate throughout the year.

Salary: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced, safety-focused installer to join our team on an on-call, part-time basis, with strong potential for the role to grow into full-time as our installation schedule expands.
