- Let’s Get Technical! with Jon Price: Create magical moments onstage using backstage ingenuity! Learn the ins and outs of manual and motorized fly systems, automated scenery, and scenery/personnel lifts. Suitable for producers, designers, technicians, and artists—no experience necessary.
- Safety First—Demystifying Best Practices for Theatre Safety with Graham Frampton: Based on Theatre Alberta’s Safe Stages program, this hands-on workshop will educate participants on best practices for working safely in a theatre production environment. Suitable for managers, technicians, artists, and theatre volunteers. All levels of experience are welcome.
Dramaworks 2010 takes place at the University of Alberta (Edmonton) from July 2-4 and 8-11. Classes range from $235 to $335—register before May 28th to receive an early bird discount.
