What's New > Crowd Management - ESTA's Second Event Safety Standard Approved by ANSI's Board of Standards Review
Press release - August 4, 2020
On July 6 ANSI's Board of Standards Review approved another ESTA standard: ANSI ES1.9 - 2020, Crowd Management. This standard - the second to be published in a series of event safety guidance standards currently in development - helps the user understand the basic principles of crowd management theory and vocabulary, so they can be appropriately applied to certain reasonably foreseeable risks that arise during live events.
The standard is intended both to identify minimum requirements and provide questions and suggestions that help event organizers make reasonable choices under the circumstances of their event.
It is available for free download from the TSP website at tsp.esta.org/freestandards.
It is also available for sale from ANSI and IHS.
