The Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) today released Culture 3.0: a study on the impact of emerging digital technologies on human resources in the cultural sector.

Culture 3.0 identifies and analyses the impact of emerging digital technologies on human resources from the perspectives of both employers and workers across the cultural sector. Conducted by the Nordicity Group, through a highly consultative process, it covers the impact of digital technologies on the whole creative chain from creation to production to dissemination to preservation.
The report provides five cross-sector recommendations and twenty-eight sub-sector specific recommendations drawn from one hundred and forty individual interviews, four focus groups, an interactive forum, and a validation round table that included participants from both the cultural and education sectors. Each recommendation is accompanied by a rationale and a section on how it can be implemented. The recommendations are frequently sprinkled with case studies that recount digital technology success stories to instruct and inspire.
"Culture 3.0 aims to encourage and guide the cultural sector and educators to address training needs related to digital technologies in a timely and collaborative way", said Susan Annis, CHRC Executive Director. "Both employers and workers will find Culture 3.0 to be an invaluable resource to help them seize the advantages of digital technologies, and handle the challenges."
