Reporting jointly to the Costume Designer and Scenic Designer and under supervision of the Production Manager, responsibilities include: interpreting design drawing, purchasing materials, drafting patterns & working drawings, wardrobe assembly and alteration, props building, fittings, repairs and maintenance.
The successful candidate will have a variety of technical theatre experience (especially technical drawing & drafting, wardrobe cutting, and props building) possess a professional, hardworking, outgoing and personable disposition; with excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a passion for the theatre.
Although Driftwood welcomes all qualified submissions priority will be placed on candidates who are: returning full-time students in the fall of 2015; students with disabilities; aboriginal students; and students who are members of visible minorities. This position is being funded through Service Canada's "Canada Summer Jobs" program.
