Based in Stratford, Ontario, the Stratford Festival is one of the world’s foremost repertory theatre companies. It operates year round, presenting a season of about a dozen plays each year between the months of April and November, a rich stream of digital content and hundreds of Forum events, designed to deepen understanding of the plays. For every person a theatregoer sees on our stages, we have seven people working behind the scenes, some of the world’s most dedicated and experienced arts workers. Video Production Manager – 12 Month Contract

Your primary role will be to create, in collaboration with various stakeholders, cutting-edge video content for the Stratford Festival.

With a varied portfolio, you’re an expert at shooting and editing videos (and organizing the shoots) with an eye for marketing. You thrive in a fast-paced creative environment, effectively juggling multiple tasks at once and shaping a collection of thoughts and ideas into an engaging experience for patrons. You have an enthusiastic and positive attitude, and are ready to help propel the Stratford Festival’s marketing initiatives forward.

This position reports to the Associate Director, Brand and is part of the Marketing team.

Responsibilities:
• Produce and edit video and audio content for marketing collateral
• Produce live video content
• Produce original content for our online digital service, StratFest@Home
• Produce video content for all other departments across the Festival, including Education, the Lab, Advancement, etc.
• Work with marketing team to provide fresh and exciting content ideas for a wide variety of contexts, including branding and social media campaigns
• Manage and schedule content for in-house digital signage
• Maintain departmental resources and budget
• Engage in research and development
• Supervise, coach and manage student interns, assistants and internal editors
• Manage and oversee freelance videographers/editors
• Manage closed captions for all online content

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:
• Post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience in a field related to marketing and/or video production
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional video production
• Efficient in Adobe Creative Suite and experience operating a variety of cameras, microphones and recording equipment
• Energetic drive to develop new content and foster audience engagement
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude
• Proven supervisory and team leadership skills
• Ability to create, schedule and delegate multiple projects at any given time
• A passion for theatre and the arts is an asset

Additional Information

Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience showcased in a varied portfolio primarily focused on marketing initiatives.
This full-time contract position is located in Stratford, Ontario, and will begin February 2021 for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. This position will require the candidate to embrace a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends as required. This position requires the candidate to work both onsite and remotely when required.
