The Shaw Festival is currently seeking applications for the position of Toronto Wardrobe Buyer. This is a contract position that reports to the Head of Wardrobe. The 2016 dates are February 16 thru July 15, 2016.
The position requires an individual who is motivated and exceptionally organized. Theatre wardrobe experience is an asset. A good resource base and knowledge of costume history is required.
In addition to having an excellent practical skill set the successful candidate must have an ability to work under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.

The Toronto Buyer is responsible for the day to day purchasing of items for the Wardrobe Dept. Buying is based in the GTA and will require regular trips to Niagara. The position entails establishing and maintaining excellent relations with our Costume Designers, wholesalers and retail suppliers.
It will be necessary to be in possession of a valid Ontario Driver's License and passport you will be required to use your own vehicle.
