Job Description / Duties

The Department of English and Theatre seeks to fill a 5-month contractually limited position at the rank of Instructor effective 1 December 2014.

The successful candidate will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities: teaching the second half of Theatre 2823, Introduction to Production, during the winter term; overseeing and organizing all aspects of Acadia Theatre Company’s Winter production from planning to strike, and grading student production work; assisting with the organization and production of our student festival of plays (Minifest), the end of year presentation of coursework, such as the Movement show, and the student award ceremony (ATSCARS); budgeting and purchasing materials for all ATC departments; overseeing the assistant to the Technical Director; maintenance of all spaces and equipment; enforcing safe workplace practices.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The successful candidate should hold an MFA in Theatre or equivalent in professional experience.

Skills in lighting, sound, props, set construction, projection, and stage management required. The ATC uses ETC Insight for lighting, QLab for sound, and Isadora for projection.
