Reporting directly to the Artistic & General Director and the Production Manager, the Technical Director’s major responsibilities will include: coordinating all on-site elements of the technical production including scenic, props and wardrobe setup and care; coordinating and supervising all technical rehearsals; supervising all technical personnel during tech week rehearsals and on tour; supervising and conducting all set-ups and strikes, load ins and load outs and driving the company cube van to and from the various sites around Ontario.
The successful candidate will have a variety of technical theatre experience (including at least two years prior Technical Direction experience in a professional setting,) possess a professional, hardworking, outgoing and personable disposition; with excellent communication and management skills, and a passion for the theatre. Specifically, experience with live audio mixing, RF microphone systems, LED lighting technology, DMX addressing and a valid class G driver’s license will be considerable assets.
