Qualifications / Required Skills

Sound person with 1-3 years’ experience in sound for the theatre (with design)

[graduating university theatre students with experience in sound (with design), or graduating sound recording technology students with experience in sound for the theatre (with design), may also apply]

  • must be capable of mixing a live band with vocals 
  • must be knowledgeable in Sound Forge, SFX, and Q-Lab 
  • must have experience in theatre lighting (board operation, hang/focus) 
  • a driver’s license is an asset for this position

Additional Information

Contract Dates: May 13, 2013 to September 1, 2013 (a two (2) week extension is possible to September 15, 2013)

The Festival provides return travel (by most economical method) for successful applicants.

The Festival provides shared housing in the community for company members. A housing rental fee and damage deposit applies.

Salary: to commensurate with experience

The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is a summer repertory theatre festival operated by Theatre Newfoundland Labrador. For its 2013 season, the Festival will produce six plays – three mainstage shows and three second stage shows. The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is located in the seaside community of Cow Head, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is situated in the spectacular Gros Morne National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
