Job Description / Duties

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Special Effects Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a safety-focused, detail-oriented professional with extensive hands-on experience in live event special effects, including pyrotechnics, CO₂, cryo, flames, confetti, fireworks and atmospheric effects.
You will play a key role in the planning, preparation, and execution of complex effects for concerts, tours, corporate events, and broadcast productions.

Qualifications / Required Skills

3+ years of professional experience in live event special effects
Certified pyrotechnician with the ERD
Strong working knowledge of:
Pyrotechnics & proximate pyro systems
CO₂ jets, cryo effects, Fireworks, and flame systems
DMX / timecode / show control systems
Experience with large-scale events
Valid driver’s license with clean a Drivers Abstract and ability to travel internationally
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Experience with show design and effect integration
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NFPA guidelines or equivalent)
• Forklift, lift, or rigging certifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure environments

Salary: 70,000 to 75,000 to start depending on Experience
