ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

Ordering materials to match production schedule (purchase orders): (SMI)
Participate in weekly schedule production meetings.

Order required materials to meet production using the available tools, such as schedules, trial builds and forecasts.

Convey any problems meeting manufacturing schedules to the Logistics Manager.

Issue trial builds to Shipping department to pick and ship to subcontractor based upon production schedules.

Purchase orders:
E-Mail the purchase orders to suppliers and ask for confirmation requirements, such as delivery date.

Follow up with suppliers on delivery dates before scheduled production runs. Communicate any delays to the Management team.

Source alternatives when suppliers can’t meet production requirements.

Communicate any problems or concerns with the quality of the product to suppliers as instructed by the Manufacturing Supervisor / Logistics Manager

Communicate effectively with suppliers to build a rapport so they understand our needs as well as we understand their requirements to foster a productive relationship.

Work with the supplier to maintain or lower standard acquired cost of product.

Gain product knowledge by attending meetings, forecast reviews and research.

Building a strong rapport and communication with the Manufacturing Supervisor so information is current.


Entering order entry: (SMI)
Ensure incoming purchase orders have proper part numbers and the proper cost.

Check stock levels and order materials where required and confer with Manufacturing

Supervisor concerning customer delivery request date and order quantities.

Issue confirmation to customer with price, part and delivery time.

Respond to all clients inquires and set deadlines for delivery dates and communicate all delays to the client when deadlines cannot be met.

Obtain authorized signature from Logistics Manager for orders above $20,000.00 and from the Managing Director of the company for orders over this amount. R&D is able to authorize all purchase orders $1000.00 or under for R&D expenses and Manufacturing Supervisor $5,000.00 and under.

Issue pick lists to Shipping department with all pertinent information such as delivery location, required date, and service levels.

Assign the proper account number to all purchase orders.

Issuing internal paperwork to match customer requirements: (SMI)
Ensure that the proper part number is used to meet customer requirements.

Order material when needed to meet requirements in conjunction with the Manufacturing Supervisor quantity requirements.

Communicate rush requests to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Maintaining inventory software and producing price list
Manage and police that we have all the necessary MSDS sheets in the required binder located in the Plant and update annually. Add all chemical part numbers into a special warehouse in BV to track the current chemicals in use.

Update BV with multiple use designation (+) in both description lines as well in work book. Include lead time, MOQ.

Produce and maintain all price lists to clients, including monthly updates of cable list to ACI.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Bilingual in English and French, an asset, but not required
Experience with Business Vision an asset, but not required
