Job Description / Duties

Working under the responsibility of the Senior Director, Touring Show Equipment, and under the supervision of the Advisors Team Leader, you will be the technical go-to person in your specialization for the needs of International Headquarters and touring shows, and you will play a key role in developing lighting and projection equipment documentation and standardization.

You will be known for:

- Participating in the technical documentation and standardization of lighting and projection equipment for touring shows, in collaboration with other members of the department;
- Ensuring the proper use of the established and implemented systems for gathering, validating and updating technical documentation, in concert with the Technical Touring Show Operations - Departments and others;
- Participating, in collaboration with relevant parties, in the acquisition and modification of specialized lighting and projection equipment, which includes complying with technical riders and producing necessary documentation;
- Developing, in collaboration with other relevant parties, a schedule for integrating new or existing specialized lighting and projection equipment and assisting in its integration with the operators;
- Developing installation and operating procedures as well as a maintenance program for specialized lighting and projection equipment, ensuring adequate operational follow-up of the maintenance program and inspections, and, when needed, taking part in developing a corrective maintenance plan;
- Participating in different discussion and validation processes and guiding through these processes the Project Managers from the various production teams working on new touring shows;
- Ensuring general administrative follow-up within the department, including budget tracking systems and other financial reporting;
- Ensuring proper management of the global inventory of specialized lighting and projection equipment;
- Helping operations teams develop budgets for lighting and projection equipment acquisition and maintenance;
- Taking part in research and development projects conducted by the team;
- Collaborating in project feasibility studies by sharing knowledge about your area of expertise.

Qualifications / Required Skills

We want to meet you if you have:

- A college-level diploma (DEC) in show management or a related field;
- Minimum eight years of experience in your area of expertise;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, an asset;
- Knowledge of lighting and projection programming and operating processes for various systems;
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written and fluency in French, an asset;
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
