Job Description / Duties

-Ensure that lighting equipment is set up properly and consistent with the lighting design
-Set up and dismantle lighting equipment
-Assume the role of crew chief and act as team lead for local crew
-Operate the lighting console
-Have a working knowledge of rigging infrastructure
-Have knowledge of Moving light and Grand MA lighting console
-Adhere to standards and regulations pertaining to the safety of lighting equipment, and comply with safe working methods
-Have knowledge of moving light troubleshooting on site
-Flexible schedule

Qualifications / Required Skills

-Minimum of 3 years experience in lighting in the event or theatre industry
-Crew management experience an asset
-Flexibility, autonomy, team player
-Ability to handle contingency and work well under pressure
-Fluent in spoken and written English is essential
-Other duties may include: operating a fork lift, scissor lift, truck driving and rigging of points

Salary: $25-$35/hr based on experience and qualifications
